Glera by Carpene Malvolti of Veneto. Fruit forward palate in an extra dry aromatic style, kept soft and dry by delicate acidity, finishing on a pleasant apple aftertaste. Antonio Carpene, scientist and chemist, was a visionary who introduced Methode Champenoise to Italian viticulture. Antonio Carpene was the first winemaker to fashion a quality Veneto Prosecco in the traditional Charmat sparkling process. Excellent as aperitif or as a base for cocktails, matches perfectly with light Mediterranean cuisine.
